DAVID
is a lead/principal character actor with a wealth of varied roles to his credit
in Film , Stage, and Television both in UK and abroad.A 'recogniseable' face
from numerous productions such as The Bill, London's Burning, The Hardman,
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and other mainstream productions.
As Bill
Harrison (the Minister) he is an integral part of Brian's 'family' of close
friends and confidants. He is the 'window' of God for Brian. The one person
Brian can really talk to from the heart...
David's
own comments on the role of Bill Harrison:
To be
with a person (a close longterm friend) who is going through what Brian is
going through, and to be an ear to their innermost fears and worries is both
a pleasure and yet a burden of intense pain. You 'feel' as they 'feel'. You
cry as they cry...but you also laugh as they laugh - in their joy.
It is
this helter-skelter of emotions that provides the backdrop to Bill and Brian's
heartfelt deep and longterm friendship. Bill is Brian's spiritual guide..his
'ear'... It is the 'listening' that is important for both Brian and Bill;
and the few but gentle words of Bill's wisdom that are a necessity for Brian
if he is to retain his sanity in the face of his (and Julie's) adversities.
Personal
comment from David:
Stuart
(Brian) and Nicky (Julie) were a boon to work with as they cemented their
characters in stone through their commitment to their roles....as did the
rest of the Cast and Crew.
It is
this total commitment (along with the poignancy of the little-understood medical
condition to which the storyline refers) which I feel gives this true story
its 'soul'...brings the story to life, and renders it a heartwrenching drama
for all viewers (male or female). It is crucial that programmes such as this
are aired in order to raise the general public's awareness of critical medical
conditions such as Puerperal Psychosis (severe post natal depression) and
the devastating effects it can have both on individuals and their families
and friends.
I feel
honoured to have been a small part of such an important 'message' .... '
